Product Overview

The Long Shank Head Set Screw is made up of stainless steel. Stainless steels are iron-based alloys, which contains minimum of chromium around 10.5%. The presence of chromium offers corrosion resistance to stainless steel and helps to resist scaling at elevated temperatures. Stainless steel also maintains excellent toughness. This screw is being used in many anesthesia machines in medical field such as Aestiva 7900, Aestiva MRI, Aespire View, Avance CS2 among others. A screw is a type of fastener, in some ways similar to a bolt, typically made of metal. Screw can be used in any application that requires joining a number of different materials together including plastics, rubber and various metals as well as plywood. Set screws are headless, threaded rod segments that sit flushed with the penetrated material. Their most common use is in conjunction with shaft collars, or otherwise gripping an axis in perpendicular fashion. They are driven with recessed socket or flat heads.
